Precision Presswork

As can be seen from our plant list we operate 30 presses from 10 to 400 tonne. We can manufacture your product in many materials including steel, brass, copper, stainless steel, phosphor bronze and aluminium. We have the capacity for high volume production but our strengths lie in small to medium sized runs using the following techniques:

  • Automated Coil Fed Production
We run high volume production through automated coil fed machines running multiple shifts when required to achieve large batch production quickly.
  • Strip Fed Production
We use Strip fed production when this gives us the greatest level of efficiency for the volumes required.
  • Single Stage Pick & Place Presswork
Single stage secondary operations can be carried out by our machine operators for large components not suited to progressive or auto lines or where immediate quality control and inspection is desirable.
  • Deep Drawing
We manufacture deep drawing of ferrous and non-ferrous materials up to a depths of 100mm.

Laser Cutting and Punch Pressing

Being part of the Dalby Holdings Group, Regent has direct access to laser cutting and punch pressing at it's sister company. This enables the company to offer highly competitive prices for these processes that suit lower volume requirements. We will monitor a customer's demand for products using these processes and if it passes a point where manufacturing a tool and pressing the product costs less, then we contact the customer and discuss commissioning a tool that is usually amortised into a lower part price. The customer makes a saving and we retain their business.

Fabrications

We undertake welded fabrication of both pressed parts and those formed through other processes, which include box sections, tube, bar and flat bar as well as free issue material. Our investment in 3 robotic welding cells enable us to offer highly competitive prices for this work together the accuracy and consistency that robots achieve.

Further Processes

Often, customers require their components to be assembled, CNC turned, CNC machined, dot-matrix numbered, drilled, tapped, or rumbled and all of these can be carried out in house. We also offer a whole range of coatings to all international standards. These include, powder coating, zinc plating, zinc phosphating and galvanising that we carry out in conjunction with established coating specialists.

Prototypes

At Regent, we love developing a project with a customer and this usually means the manufacture of prototypes and pre-production components. Our Engineers are available to offer design assistance and to assist you in developing your ideas and concepts through to efficient production.

Press Tool Maintenance & Storage

Regent design and build most of their own tooling in-house. All tools are stored on site and recorded in a large well maintained fully insured tool library. We believe that tool maintenance is absolutely fundamental to producing the best quality product for our customers. Also, when a tool is manufactured by Regent a customer never has to pay to have it maintained or refurbished. The tools are always maintained and refurbished as required by us.

Production Management

Running a busy manufacturing facility requires considerable forward planning. We use a tailored software package that allows for comprehensive production management including materials, stock and machine scheduling which means we are able to cater for long term Kanban and JIT delivery programs as well as guaranteeing short lead times. We aim to provide our customers with a reliable and consistent source of high quality engineered components delivered on time and at a competitive price.

Transfer Of Existing Tooling

If you already have tooling and it is located elsewhere, we can help you identify it and arrange to transport it to our factory in Leicester. Having our own in-house tool manufacturing, we are able to convert tools very quickly to fit our presses (and usually without any cost to you).
